Multiple Disabilities Supervisor Susie McKelvey is certified by the nationally recognized Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) to provide Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training. She is available to train school teams that face potentially violent students and/or volatile situations.
The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention program not only teaches staff to respond effectively to the warning signs that someone is beginning to lose control, but it also addresses how staff can deal with their own stress, anxieties and emotions when confronted with challenging situations.
