Itinerant Services

Itinerant services are any form of specially designed instruction provided by an early childhood intervention specialist or related service provider.  Itinerant services are provided in the home setting, service provider location or in a community-based preschool/childcare program.

Itinerant services address the child’s developmental needs using specialized instruction.  The intervention specialist may design instructional materials, create interventions for home, school or community programs, collaborate with families and monitor the child’s progress toward targeted goals.
