Persons seeking employment must have experience in an art form. Current involvement in the arts and a bachelor’s degree preferred.
All positions are currently part-time and are renewed annually. Teaching artists must provide their own transportation to program sites in and around Stark County. Instructional materials are provided. Artful Living and Learning classes are taught in school districts and program sites; they begin in October and end the last week of April. (25 weeks)
Teaching Artists are expected to teach from prescribed lessons and must be available when schools are in session.
Scheduling is somewhat flexible. Applicants who are available 4-5 days per week (generally during school hours) are preferred.
