The Stark County Educational Service Center uses Creative Curriculum that has been aligned to the State of Ohio's Early Learning. The curriculum for children ages three through five years addresses the following areas of learning and development:
- Language Arts and Literacy
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
- Fine and Gross Motor Skills
- Self-Help Skills
- Social-Emotional Skills
- Technology (address through all other areas)
Subject areas will be addressed through and integrated thematic approach, using extended themes that are meaningful to the children and build on prior knowledge and experience of the child. Open-ended projects will be encouraged as a natural result of child interest with topics related to the themes. Children will be engaged in hands-on experiences at classroom centers using materials that are age-appropriate and support daily instruction.
The result, children having fun, more actively involved, learning new skills, more confident and motivated. |
