Potential Administrators for Student Success (PASS) is a program offered through Stark County Educational Service Center leadership initiative to help develop the talents of selected district teachers as leaders and prospective administrators. The five-day sessions lead the participants through a discovery of their own strengths and skills in the area of leadership while also reviewing the roles and responsibilities of school administrators, particularly at the building level. Participants enjoy panel presentation by present administrators, especially superintendents, who share the day-to-day realities and expectations of their jobs.
Participants who complete the program are listed as PASS graduates, but there is NO expectation of commitment to interviewing for or accepting any administrative openings. Also, completion of the program does not equate to a reference or recommendation from the Stark County ESC for any administrative position.
Teachers are selected by their district superintendent (or designee) and are submitted to Barbara Barthel, Stark County ESC Consultant. Participants are expected to attend all sessions. Graduate workshop credit is available.
