| The work is based on a vision of “Honoring the Wisdom of the Teacher,” in which teachers are seen as the key link in improving student achievement. Components of the vision are teacher as leader, teacher as a source and facilitator of change, teacher as reflective practitioner, and teacher as a member of an on-going professional learning community. This vision is implemented through structures called Program Management Teams, Lead Teachers, and Professional Learning Communities. |
