Dyslexia: Remediation, Intervention, and Practical Application Strategies for Effective Instruction

This two-day course focuses on the scientific definition of dyslexia and its common characteristics standardized by the International Dyslexia Association and the most effective research-based methodologies. The instructor demonstrates multisensory structured language techniques based on the Structured Literacy philosophy in the areas of reading, spelling and writing. This interactive session demonstrates ways to meet the challenges of teaching students with dyslexia with an emphasis on differentiating instruction to assure coverage of essential components for student progress.
