Dual Enrollment/College Credit Plus
The Stark County Dual Enrollment Program allows qualified high school students to take college-level courses in their high school. Students can earn high school and college credit for each completed course.  Guidelines for the program are:
  • Students must meet the college and district requirements for admission to the program.  Each college has certain entrance requirements, such as:  COMPASS scores, ACT or SAT scores or other requirements.  School districts have student guidelines for their dual enrollment program.  Consult your high school counselor for more information.
  • Dual enrollment teachers must meet college requirements to become adjunct professors.
  • Dual enrollment courses at the high school use the same textbook, syllabus and course materials as the college course.
  • Collaborative agreements between each college and school district are required.
Consult your local high school for more information about dual enrollment programs.  To learn more about the Stark County Dual Enrollment Initiative, contact Tom Nunziato at the Stark County ESC.
